generation xbox/ global gaming crackdown

After I over the gagging reflex that came with seeing this months Wired issue (special edition about video games), I remembered that I want to play spore and so i need to take the good with the bad. In any case, the two articles we read in class is what Im going to talk about here.

Generation Xbox describes 6 traits that "Generation G" has (of which I think I'm the completely opposite of for most).
1. Arrogance - "Gamers as young as 20 often claim to be experts at whatever they do." -- i can think of 5 people off the top of my head that are 16 - 20 that exemplify that, and they're pure pwnage wannabes

2. sociability -- the more a gamer plays, the more he thinks he's social. -- im quasi social and im fine with it.

3. Coordination. 'nuff said.

4. flexibility - analytical, strategic and open minded thinking -- most people i know are already like this without games

5. competitiveness - might be team player but really strong underlying personal ambition

6. insubordination -- i have this issue.... "outsiders dont speak their language anyway"

global gaming crackdown was just so retarded that im not going to talk about it

and also, in regards to my last post
i know that you cannot declare a private variable within a public method

im starting to beleive that the sole reason people think technology is evil is those little bud headphones

well, instead of talking about the unibomber like i did last year I'm going to make a dissertation about music.

My musical interest has diminished increasingly over the last few weeks, and considering I'm usually the type of person who's personal life really included music this was quite a big change in my life (which strangely enough, was accompanied by throwing away everything from my schooling -- yearbooks, high school notes, elementary school report cards, etc -- in addition to half of my wardrobe). I probably did this because i felt I had to change myself before going to college, but the music was weird because I had been evolving musically, which included me keeping my base.

Now I listen to weird indie and ambient, and I'm fine with that.

In other news, I have another java test next wednesday so I will undoubtedly will be studying harder than anything for that....
I can't wait until I have java for 2 hours next year.
