Technology and Happiness

Most people don't realise that technology does not bring you happiness. They must realise that technology accomodates for things that will help you with happiness and enjoyment. This is why the Amish are apparently more "happy" than the general public. The Amish realise that their technology (technology is DEFINETLY a subjective term) only helps them build what they need to survive, as well as prosper. Today's society has forgotten about that degree of practicality and warped anything remotely technological or computer like into pleasure. For instance (as discussed in class), your Ipod (I hate Ipods, I hate Mac's, I hate anything that has to do with it, especially the people selling the damned thing...) doth not bringth thee happiness. It helps you become happy, or pleased, after it plays the song. Once the Ipod stops working and you don't get your song, it is a source of great frustration.

Also... instead of making life easier, technology frequently just adds more. For example, (and this goes with the fact that IGNORANCE IS BLISS) now that I have internet I am more capable of recieving information. Therefore... I just added more into my life. Without knowing this, I had made my life easier (unless this information was crucial to a certain ambition).

And finally...

SIM sucks.
